Introduction to Somatics & Breathwork for Helping Professionals

Join Meredith Eileen for an interactive & experiential workshop where we will slow down, tune in & let go. Attendees explore the foundations of healing and practice somatic movement & breathework in a group setting. This workshop is for anyone who is curious about embodied practices and would like to incorporate these new tools as they guide, facilitate or teach others about healing through their own unique body.

There will be plenty of opportunities for discussion and questions.

Who is this Workshop for?

This intro workshop is for anyone interested. The following professions may find it especially helpful: Teachers, Social Service Workers, Therapists & Counselors, Medical Professionals, Emergency Service Personnel, University Professionals, Yoga Teachers, Massage Therapists……just to name a few.

Each Participate will earn a Certificate of Somatic Awareness from The Whole You Wellness Center.

Who is Meredith?

Meredith began her exploration in the late 90’s of healing her very unique human body. She did this through yoga, dance, massage, breath work, mindfulness and a multitude of spiritual explorations ranging from Buddhism

to sacred earth practices.

In 2020, in the depths of the pandemic she began leading a weekly gathering of women. To her surprise, women in this group started reaching out to her reporting that they were healing trauma within their bodies through the practices in class. Meredith is now ready to share some of what she has learned with a wider audience.

A Farm to Table Lunch will be provided - Quiche and A Salad from Glade Road Growing Farm in Blacksburg, Virginia. Please let us know about ANY ALLERGIES or Food Preferences. If Quiche is not to your liking we ask that you bring your own lunch - we have refrigerator space and toaster over and microwave in the building.
